Follow our step-by-step guide below to implement this feature!

Step 1: Access the Google API Console
1. First you need to create a project in the Google Developers Console and obtain authorization credentials so your application can submit API requests.

Give your project a relevant name and press "CREATE".

Step 2: Enable YouTube Data API v3
After creating your project, make sure the YouTube Data API is one of the services that your application is registered to use:
- Go to the API Console and select the project that you just registered.
- Visit the Enabled APIs page. In the list of APIs, make sure the status is ON for the YouTube Data API v3.

Then press "+Enable APIs and services" to go to the API library

Search for YouTube Data API v3 and press Enter

Select the YouTube Data API v3 result

On the next screen finally press "ENABLE"

Step 3: Create your credentials
Press the "CREATE CREDENTIALS" button, in the next screen to create your API keys to be used in SmartlyQ!

Select "Public data" as credentials type, in the first step, and press "NEXT"

Congratulations! You've just created your YouTube API key! Make sure to copy it and store it somewhere safe! Once you've safely copied it, press "DONE" to close this window.
