Overview
AI Captain is SmartlyQ's autonomous marketing agent. Unlike a single-prompt assistant, Captain can plan and execute a multi-step mission on its own - researching, strategising, creating content, and generating visuals - and it streams its progress in real time so you can watch it work.
Where to find it
From the sidebar, open AI Captain. Click New task to start a mission; your past missions live in the left panel.
How to run a mission
- Type your goal - for example, "Create a two-week social media plan for a fitness brand targeting millennials."
- Captain plans the mission and shows you the steps it intends to take.
- Watch it execute each step - researching competitors, drafting posts, suggesting hashtags, generating images, and more.
- Review the deliverables and refine or export them.
What Captain can do
- Research & strategy - competitors, trends, audience, content and ad plans.
- Content creation - articles, social posts, email sequences, and images.
- Captain Boards - visual canvases where you drop sources, notes, and AI chat on an infinite board.
- Routines - schedule Captain to run on autopilot at set times.
Tips
- Be specific about the goal and audience - the clearer the brief, the better the mission.
- Use Boards to give Captain source material (links, notes) to work from.
- Set up Routines for recurring work so it runs without you.
